Brynmar, meaning Big Hill, is a market town in Blaenau Gwent, south Wales. The town, sometimes cited as the highest town in Wales, is situated at 1,250 to 1,500 feet above sea level and nestled at the head of the South Wales Valleys. The nearest train station is Ebbw Vale, 2.7 miles away. And it is linked by regular buses from all surrounding towns.

Brynmawr is in Blaenau Gwent, Wales.
From London take the M4 to Newport, the A4042 to Abergavenny, then the A465 road to Merthyr Tydfil, after 8 miles you will come to Brynmawr (go straight on from the round-about to turn off into Brynmaawr and you are on King Street).

A=Abergavenny B=Brynmawr, take the Merthyr Tydfil road (A465), turn off into Brynmawr - you are on King Street - go on upto no. 96 (on a bend to your right).

The nearest train station is Ebbw Vale (A), 2.7 miles from the centre (B). Five minutes by taxi. Buses run regularly to Brynmawr.

The buses stop on George Street (the blue squares on the map). The centre is at (A) on King Street.
